Thank you for reaching out to me directly and sharing the petition regarding the Forks City Planning Commission. I want to provide an immediate update to our community on this matter.

On the day this petition was initiated, Brian Weekes formally submitted his resignation from his position as a Forks City Planning Commissioner. As a result, he is no longer serving on the commission, and the seat is currently vacant.

Moving forward, I am confident that the city will follow established procedures to fill this vacancy with a representative dedicated to serving our community with integrity.

To ensure our local government truly reflects our community's values, we need passionate residents to step up. I highly encourage each constituent who signed this petition to consider their own candidacy for this vacancy or other civic roles. Your voice matters, and active participation is the best way to shape the future of Forks.
