Remove Blocksi from All San Diego Schools

The Issue

As a student in San Diego, I have personally experienced the restrictions imposed by Blocksi, a web filtering tool used in our schools. This tool, while designed to keep students safe online, often hinders educational growth by limiting access to valuable resources. Many of us have found ourselves unable to complete assignments or research due to these restrictions.

San Diego is home to over 130,000 students across its public schools (source: National Center for Education Statistics). Each one of these students deserves unrestricted access to the wealth of knowledge available on the internet. While it's important that we protect our children from inappropriate content online, we must also ensure that they are not being unnecessarily restricted.

We urge the San Diego School Districts to reconsider their use of Blocksi and explore other options that balance safety with freedom of information. Please sign this petition and support our call for change.
