Manipal University Dubai (MAHE) Dubai is levying an AED 350 parking fee per car from 2019, making it extremely expensive for students who drive in daily to park their cars in the campus. 

Why does this matter? 

1) Students run on a tight budget. Many have financially unstable families barely making ends meet. 350 dirhams is a huge setback, and this will ruin Manipal Dubai's campus culture in general. 

2) None of the other campuses at the Academic City in Dubai have chargeable parking spaces, despite having better amenities and facilities. Let's not make a fool of ourselves. 

3) The Academic City is a free zone for a reason. The RTA is wise enough to not have placed any parking charges on certain spaces in the Academic City. Are these means to unnecessarily extract money from students' pockets?
