As we all know, the properties ACCOMMOD8U owns here in Waterloo are very popular. New students that are moving here tend to lease with this rental agency as they have low prices for "high quality" apartments. I am starting this petition as ACCOMMOD8U tends to let us down all the time.

Before I begin why you should sign and share this petition with other tenants, I will explain how it all came to down to me doing this. This week, I have been very sick, like super-almost COVID-like sick, so, I ordered some Vicks Vaporub on Amazon (it was supposed to arrive today). All day I waited for it and it had slipped my mind as I had been busy with other things. At 9 pm my boyfriend and I had decided to walk our dog, when we came back, we noticed a note in the (south tower) elevator. It had read that someone had stolen their Amazon packages that were supposed to arrive today, just like mine were. So, upon entry into my apartment, I grabbed my pen and paper and started writing about my experience with (PAST) packages being stolen and how ACCOMMOD8U would not help them whatsoever, as I went through the same thing - asking management to check cameras and then finding out they were fake (I will get into that). As I went back into the elevator, to place the note I had written, I noticed an Amazon packaging on the floor (I noticed it when I got home but didn't think anything of it). When inspecting it, I realized it was MY PACKAGE! Someone had once again stolen my package but, left the evidence behind this time. My blood began to boil. I swear I had cold sweats from, not only my sickness but, anger from how this continues to happen because the building management couldn't care less about their tenants.

Since living here, at 239 Albert, as of September 2021, I have had multiple issues with ACCOMMOD8U. To keep it short, here is a list of some things I have had to go through while living here: Upon moving in my balcony was filled with garbage (Tim Horton's coffee cups, cigarettes, water bottles, etc), my toilet was not working for 2 WEEKS, my rent was double charged, and the following month I received an eviction notice for not paying rent (which we did), was kicked out of an exam due to the fire alarm going off non-stop, in March I was robbed - police were unable to do anything without surveillance as the building does not have working cameras (By-law of Waterloo confirmed they do not have a contract with them), not sure if anyone else has noticed but the dryers in the south tower barely dry your clothes and finally, I have had about 4 packages stolen in the last MONTH.

I am not sure if anyone else is having these kinds of issues but, it seems from the other tenants I talk to that reside in this building, it's a resounding answer of they despise this company and can't wait for their lease to end. My boyfriend and I even ended our 3-year lease 4 months into living here, that's how badly we want to leave. You might think, why didn't you just end your lease right away? As I stated, I and many others that live here are students, we don't have that kind of money to move out.

So, I plead with you, please sign this petition. I am ready to march down to the town hall and present it to the mayor. I am ready to call my good friend Catherine Fife, a member of Provincial Parliament here in Waterloo, and present all the other issues you may be having as well. This company should have been shut down YEARS ago. ACCOMMOD8U does not care about the well-being or safety of any of its tenants.
