Removal of Dog Park/Playground Combo at Sunrose Towers

The Issue

Welcome, I have started this petition in order to restore a bit of quiet on our small slice of 152nd street. A lot of you have lived here for a while, months, years, even decades. You've witness the changes to our neighborhood in real time and we have been able to adapt bc most of the changes have been tolerable or necessary. In the last few years we've had a massive disruption and I am sure some of us are still getting adjusted to it. Especially those who live the closet to it.

One of those massive disruptions is Sunrose Tower. Even before the tower was finished and occupied, we endured days, [even some nights], of very loud, messy, and inconvenient construction. From the jackhammering, the sawing and welding to the hot, dust filled days, where we couldn't crack a window, let's not forget the loud construction workers. We've heard, felt, and watched the tower being built from the ground up. However, most of us have been very inconvenienced by it. We've gotten used to the effect on the esthetic of the neighborhood, we've gotten accustomed to not having the same sunlight/view that we were so used to.

But the one thing I have been having a hard time adjusting to is the dog park/kid's playground combo they have in the mid lower level of the tower. The constant disruptive barking from the dogs, no matter the time of day/night, and the unsanitary environment it creates especially on hot/sunny days is uunacceptable. We live a few steps from a very massive park, a few blocks from a dog park, and playground/jungle gym, not to mention there is also Riverbank State Park for the kids [No Pets Allowed].

There is no real reason to have that combo in that area, it's disruptive to the neighbors, especially those directly across, some are surrounded by on all sides.

We've put up with enough for Sunrose Towers, but it is unfair to take away our peace and quiet as well. We've been here way before that tower was even an idea.
