

Removable Batteries For Electric Cars (Swap&Go EVs)
The Issue
Transportation remains one of the largest sources of greenhouse gas emissions, and even though we should be striving for CO2 Net Zero, electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles made up only 10% of all new cars sold in the United States in 2025, according to the most recent data from the International Energy Agency (IEA)
If we want to achieve Net Zero in the auto industry, then we need to sell more EVs.
If we want to sell more EVs, then we need to offer a product consumers actually want to buy.
And if we want to create an EV consumers actually want to buy, then we need to start by eliminating all the reasons why they don’t want to buy them now.

The most infamous EV pain in the ass is their charging times, and even in the best case scenario that you manage to find a DC Fast Charging port, it will still take you around 40-60 minutes just to get to 80% charge. Since consumers have spent their whole lives up to this point taking only 40-60 seconds to refuel using gasoline, EV charging times in comparison are such a gargantuan inconvenience that people are completely avoiding EVs as a result [Ain't Nobody Got Time For That].
To address this, EVs need to stop using a “smartphone” system where you charge a fixed battery on the spot for hours, and instead start using a “camera” system where photographers simply swap an empty battery for a full one in a matter of seconds, enabling them to keep shooting without having to wait.
And while a system like this would be new for electric cars, it's actually not new in other electric vehicles, and Gogoro scooters already use this "Swap-&-Go" system instead of plug-charging (of course, EV cars should still keep their ability to plug-charge so we can conveniently use it at home overnight, and while the “GoStation” network is being installed)

In addition to charging times, another infamous EV pain in the ass is that battery replacement costs typically range from $5,000 to $16,000 depending on model and pack size, and so a Swap&Go system that comes with removable batteries by default would immediately drop that figure down to $00,000… eliminating another reason why consumers avoid EVs now [Ain't Nobody Got Money For That].

[ PIC. 2 – GO-STATIONS ]
A charging system based on Swap&Go has the benefit of eliminating charging times, and a charging infrastructure based on GoStations has the benefit of eliminating the need to build new full-size EV stations from scratch, because instead we can just add these “kiosks” to the already existing service network.
With Swap&Go only taking seconds, and with GoStations charging all batteries together, we no longer need individual “pumps” that serve one car at a time or dedicated parking spaces where EVs can stay for hours.

While there are several alternatives to fossil fuels being developed right now besides EVs (such as hydrogen cars and bio fuels), EVs are still the obvious “no-brainer” future of the auto industry, simply because we can power the whole thing using solar energy.
And if we use solar panels to charge the GoStations, then we get unlimited free fuel forever:
• No more “Hormuz” shortages because solar energy is DECENTRALIZED in location.
• No more $6 gas because solar energy is UNLIMITED in quantity.

[ PETITION ]
The only way to ditch fossil fuels is to adopt renewable energies, and in the auto industry, that means EVs. However, the only way the average joe will voluntarily choose to buy an EV is if they are an improvement over their current ICEs, not just an “alternative”.
The European Union recently passed a new legislation requiring phones and tablets to have removable batteries, in order to reduce electronic waste and increase device lifespan, and I’m petitioning to do the same for electric cars.
