Friends and neighbors,
Thank you for standing with us to protect our neighborhood and community.
The residents of Middlesex Avenue, Railroad Avenue, Old Depot Road, Marina View Drive and Grote Road have organized a group-TFN (Tower-free Neighborhoods) We successfully launched an email blitz to the Chester Board of Selectmen and managed to take the town cell phone tower vote off the November ballot. It has been moved to a public vote in February or March. The Board of Selectmen have offered to meet with us every month to find an alternative location and our group has discovered 4-5 new locations. We are waiting to hear back from Homeland Towers. What keeps us going you ask?
Countless neighbors have contacted us…the family that cannot move yet because they want to keep their kids in the school system, the couple that moved to charming Chester to retire, just remodeled their home and are panicking that the tower will be in their backyard, and myself, the woman that suffered two brain surgeries, cannot drive and will be living underneath the 5G radiation 24/7.
This town belongs to everyone. We value our shared spaces and the well being of our community but placing a 130’ cell tower at Grote Road would compromise the character, safety and health of our neighborhood and its surrounding areas.
We cannot thank you enough for your support. Please ask your friends to sign our petition.
