Due to how limiting the MPAA(Motion Picture Association of America) was with ultraviolent content in the past, many edits had to be made to death scenes in several of the original "Friday The 13th" films, and there were even occasions where death scenes had to be removed entirely. So far, the only films in the series to get uncut releases are "Friday The 13th" and "Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday". Fans of this film series, including myself, want these films to be re-released on Blu-ray with both extended versions and the theatrical versions of the films included, as well as all previous special features from all previous home video releases of the films(including all previous complete set exclusives), as well as all trailers, TV spots, & radio spots for the theatrical releases and home video releases of the films. For "Friday The 13th" films for which there were scenes that were exclusive to early TV airings of said films, those scenes should be included in the extended cuts of the films.

Along with seperate releases for each film, there should be a complete set release. New Line should also do all of this with the original "A Nightmare On Elm Street" film series. These releases can be referred to as "The Definitive Editions".

The Definitive Edition of "Friday The 13th 6: Jason Lives" should include the music video of "He's Back(The Man Behind The Mask)" by Alice Cooper.

In the complete set for the "Friday The 13th" films, "Freddy VS Jason" should be placed before "Jason X" because of the fact that "Freddy VS Jason" takes place before "Jason X".

The extended version of "Friday The 13th 7: The New Blood" should include the original version of the scene in which Tina's deceased father pulls Jason down into the lake.

The extended version of "Friday The 13th 8: Jason Takes Manhattan" should include the deleted escalator scene. Tweaks should be made to "Friday The 13th 8: Jason Takes Manhattan"(both the theatrical version and the extended version), with the advertisements that were relevant in 1989 being swapped for advertisements that were relevant in June of 1998, which is when the film takes place, and there should be the option to watch the film(both the theatrical version and the extended version) with the 1989 advertisements intact.

For each of these Definitive Editions, the front cover art piece used for the slip cover should be done in the style that Shout Factory uses for their Scream Factory releases, and the case should have a reversible sleeve, like what Shout Factory does for their Scream Factory releases, with the front cover art piece used for the slip cover being used on one side and one of the poster art pieces used for the original theatrical release of the film in question being used on the other side.

Blu-ray releases like these should also be done for "Friday The 13th: The Series".
