Justice for Lorenzo Salgado Araujo

We are calling for transparency, accountability, and a thorough investigation into the death of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo.

Three individuals believed to have information relevant to this case—Daniel Tirado Pantoja, Victor Salgado Araujo, and José Trinidad Rojas Pliego—are currently detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Their firsthand testimony may be critical to understanding the full circumstances surrounding Lorenzo’s death.

If these individuals are deported, transferred, or otherwise made unavailable before their testimony is fully obtained and preserved, important information may be lost. Every witness with relevant knowledge should have the opportunity to cooperate with investigators and provide their account of the events.

We respectfully ask ICE and all appropriate authorities to:

* Preserve all witness statements and evidence related to this case.
* Conduct a full, independent, and transparent investigation into the death of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo.
* Provide the Salgado family and the public with answers regarding the circumstances of his death.

The Salgado family deserves the truth. The public deserves transparency. Justice requires that every witness be heard and every relevant fact be examined.
