If anyone questions how an innocent person can be framed for child molestation, just watch the 1995 movie based on the McMartin Trial called "Indictment". The movie won several awards and has many eerily similar facts to Dr. York’s case. The initial letter that went to the Sherriff in Eatonton named Sills, alleging Dr. York had molested a child was in 1996, but charges weren’t brought against him until 2002 because they said they were still gathering evidence, which they of course never produced. If what Dr. York was doing was so egregious and they could prove it, why didn't they arrest him with haste to stop the abuse of more innocent children? Clearly, when they saw the sexual abuse evidence wouldn’t hold up, they realized they could use RICO and get a slam dunk. Dr. York was not convicted for molesting children because the so called evidence they had was unsubstantiated, the RICO charge they were able to make stick was transporting minors across state line with the intent for sexual activity, but it was never proven that any sexual activity ever occurred. As many of you know, I am a survivor of childhood sexual abuse that lasted 10 years at the hands of many pedophiles and I know the type of long-suffering trauma it produces and am very familiar with the behavior of children and adults who have been molested and of pedophiles. Based on my personal experiences and professional opinion, which is derived from the trial transcript, post trial motions, 21 hours of personal interviews with Dr. York, 15 hours of phone conversations, and approximately 100 letters between my client and my law office, I am not convinced beyond a reasonable doubt that this court got it right. #freedryork. #presobamafreeyorkplease.
