The former PARC Building has been left unused for a year now (over growing and quite literally left to rot).

The purpose built PARC building provided specific play and recreation facilities for children with additional needs and respite care for their families and carers in Braintree and further across Essex.

This building has now been unused and un-tended to for an entire year now - without out any way forward. There still has been no way forward for those who desperately need access to the facilities that are able to be provided within the building. This building was created specifically for children like ours, yet it is now left unused despite the demand for it being higher than ever.

There are other charities, businesses, parents, carers and volunteers that want to help RESTORE it to the safe play facility it once was for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities at no cost to Parc or Braintree District Council but there is currently no way this can happen due to the legal restrictions in place.

So many families have been let down by these services being stopped. Despite best efforts, these services cannot be restarted by other charities because the building has been impossible to obtain through regulations and restrictions.

Someone needs to be held accountable for this - but the most important need is for the building to be released so that the services and facilities can once again be provided to disabled children across Essex and their families.

We are asking Braintree Council and the PARC trustees to RELEASE OUR SAFE PLACE
