In the court hearing today, March 10, 2023 at Regional Trial Court 204 in Muntinglupa City presided by Judge Abraham Joseph Alcantara, defense lawyer Boni Tacardon moved for the dismissal of the drug trafficking case against former Senator Leila de Lima. Arguing that the retraction of Former OIC Rafael Ragos leaves no legal leg for the case to stand on, Atty. Tacardon asked the Court to dismiss the case and not prolong the agony of accused De Lima. Or not agreeing with this, the Judge might want to grant the petition for bail. The Judge gave the prosecution until March 21, a non-extendable deadline to submit their comments. Trial resumes on April 17, 2023.
