Release All Video of Sheriff Gerald Couch's Arrest

The Issue

On February 27th, 2026, Gerald Couch, Sheriff of Hall County Georgia, was pulled over and arrested for DUI.

Reports indicate that Couch had a blood alcohol level of .212 - nearly three times the legal limit - at only 10:30AM on a Friday morning, and had open containers of alcohol in the vehicle. Reportedly, Couch openly confessed to officers on the scene.

The Georgia State Patrol and Hall County Sheriff's Office are refusing to release dash and body camera video, claiming that they cannot do so because the case is under investigation.

Because Gerald Couch is an elected Sheriff, full details of his arrest are of critical importance to the public. For this reason, we call on Governor Brian Kemp to order the release of the videos.
