Release a revised extended version of the entire season of Cobra Kai Season 6

Release a revised extended version of the entire season of Cobra Kai Season 6
The Issue
Even though Cobra Kai Season 6 has already been officially released as one complete season on DVD on March 3, 2026 and will likely receive a 4K Ultra HD release at some point, the creators will still need to make a revised extended version, or, in other words, an extended edition of the entire season. This version should be released on all physical media (DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K) in late April or early May in the U.S. and everywhere else to align with the international Region 4 releases that have likely been delayed due to several retailers in that region listing the March 25 release dates as inactive. Sony should use this opportunity to upgrade those standard DVDs into the 4K Ultra HD Extended Edition. This timing would be perfect as it would give the production team enough time to complete all the necessary edits and ensure the proper manufacturing of the premium 4K and DVD sets for this extended edition, especially since the physical media for the international releases are already being worked on.
When they produce this version and release it on 4K, they will need to go back and make some changes to all 15 episodes such as adding deleted scenes and alternate endings, cutting out or modifying certain scenes, using green screen and chroma keying to insert characters into existing footage, bringing back more characters that they couldn't include in the original version, reshooting some scenes, or even filming entirely new scenes that fit with the existing ones for this updated version. And when I suggest filming entirely new scenes, I am referring to filming scenes on a smaller scale rather than a full scale production. If getting the entire cast and crew back to film the new scenes is impossible, they can just work with one or a few cast members at a time and work around their schedules so in order to make it feasible.
They need to do all this because they just rushed through the entire season splitting it into 3 parts and didn't give enough time to explain everything like they should have. It felt like they were just trying to tie up all the loose ends without any real thought or depth. The writing was bad, the pacing was off, and some plot points were wrapped up way too quickly while others were just completely forced. I honestly think they ran out of time or ideas and had to rush to the finish line. Plus they just spent too much time on the Sekai Taikai instead of exploring more storylines that needed to be wrapped up and in doing so left so many untold and unresolved when it was supposed to finish everything. They also just spent too much time just on the main characters instead of also focusing more on characters they hadn't shown much of. An extended edition could really help wrap things up better with more scenes, more character development, and hopefully, more logical resolutions.
So yeah, they're gonna need to go back and re-edit the episodes and fix a lot of mistakes that they made and then make the extended edition the definitive version of Season 6, and Netflix will also need to replace the original streaming version with the extended version on their platform when the creators produce and release it. And also when the extended edition releases as a complete season on 4K, each disc should be labeled with the individual episode titles they contain like the previous seasons did instead of them being designated as Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3. They will also need to release a trailer and a poster for the entire season as well given how Season 6 is supposed to be a complete season and the previous seasons have had full season trailers and posters. And finally, since there will also likely be a 4K release of the Complete Series set at some point, they will also need to release that internationally as well and Sony and Netflix should use this opportunity to produce extended editions of Seasons 1-5, but only with deleted scenes and updated visual effects for that release, and then replace the original versions with these updated extended versions on Netflix as well.
I just thought that they could do all this since Season 6 hasn't been released on physical media in all territories yet, and since there hasn’t been a Complete Series 4K release yet. Sony and Netflix will also need to provide the budget for the creators to do all this and support them with producing and releasing the extended version of Season 6 as the primary focus, while also considering these updates for a future Complete Series 4K release.
