The Issue

We, the residents of Cable Wharf, Northfleet, demand that Keepmoat Homes immediately cease any plans to pass the construction, legal, or ongoing maintenance costs of the new community building onto residents through our estate management or service charges.

When we purchased our properties, we agreed to specific, clearly outlined estate charges for basic development upkeep. At no point did we contractually agree or consent to fund a brand-new community building in a listed property which did not form part of the Estate. Forcing residents to foot the bill for an infrastructure project they did not agree to especially amidst preexisting service charge disputes, lack of budget account for the pass three years, and continued increase above inflation with a two bed flat expected to pay 250£ per month in service charge fees for below par service is an unfair and unreasonable escalation of our financial liabilities.

Our Demand:
Keepmoat Homes must fully absorb all costs associated with this building or secure external funding. Do not add this to our resident fee structures.
