As Jersey City residents deeply invested in our community, we are concerned about the proposed development of an 18-story tower at 620 Montgomery Street. We welcome new developments that respect and adhere to the legal limits of NC-1 building heights of five stories or less. This constraint respects our neighborhood's site conditions and mitigates congestion, crowding, and strain on street parking.

This proposed mega-tower does not align with these principles. It threatens to disrupt our community's character and overburden infrastructure already stretched thin by previous high-rise developments. High-density housing can often lead to increased traffic congestion and pressure on public services. Our existing zoning laws were established for a reason - they protect communities like ours from over-development.
