Anderson Reserve Phase II and III DENIED!
Thanks to your signatures and concerns we brought up at the meeting, the subdivision Anderson Reserve Phase II and III was DENIED! (denied 5 to 1, one abstaining - Will Moore - because he had something to do with selling it to AnMed). You will want to go onto the Planning Commission website in a couple of months when the minutes are posted to this December meeting are posted and read the entire thing. We know that they will reconfigure and come at this again. We need to stay vigilant and not let it sneak up on us. We had 7 people speak. We may have a candidate to run for District Council 4 that will represent our district and appoint a good representative onto the planning commission. That candidate spoke out against this proposal and it's not me, since I don't live in Anderson, but just have property there. But he knows who he is (D. S) and I hope he can be convinced to run in the next election.
We should continue to call AnMed and ask them questions about the subdivision that was approved (Phase I), and their plans for the rest of the property, and if they could donate or let us raise money to buy it to put it into a Land Trust to preserve it. Continue to make those calls.
