Reject planning application for 30 County Road L4 Mosque

Reject planning application for 30 County Road L4 Mosque
The Issue
Our beloved community in Walton (Liverpool) has always been a source of pride and solidarity. As residents, we deeply care about the wellbeing of our neighbourhood, our families, and the integrity of our community space. It's for this reason that we find ourselves compelled to voice our concerns regarding the planning application submitted to Liverpool City Council for 30 County Road, L4.
This site, which has been operating as a mosque without appropriate planning approval or community consultation, has stirred significant apprehension among local residents. We believe that any development, especially one intended for communal gathering, should respectfully engage with and consider the sentiments of the surrounding community. Our families deserve to live in an environment where their opinions are valued, and their communal spaces are used in accordance with everyone's mutual consent.
We are not against religious institutions or their respective congregations, but we believe the council must ensure that due process is followed and that community voices are heard and respected in all planning applications. The residents and stakeholders in our area deserve transparency, respect, and the opportunity to negotiate changes that directly impact their daily lives.
We call upon Liverpool City Council to carefully consider the varied impacts of this development on traffic, parking, noise levels, and local businesses. The community has relevant concerns about these aspects, and our voices should matter in how these potential changes are managed.
Please join us in urging Liverpool City Council to reject the current planning application for 30 County Road, L4, until such time as adequate community consultation has been conducted and all community concerns have been appropriately addressed. Sign this petition to ensure our community remains a place where everyone feels heard and respected.
