Reject Lauderdale Co AL Property Valuation & Tax Increase

The Issue

Many residents and businesses of Lauderdale County Alabama have experienced 25-50% year-over-year property “valuation” increases for the purpose of additional tax revenue collection. Residents began receiving notices Monday August 7th of newly assigned astronomical assessments and increase in overall property tax.

This petition is to reject current Commissions valuations and tax increases, while alternatively implementing a blanket 3.3% increase from 2021 assessed values.

Per State law- The Revenue Commissioner is responsible for determining property value which must, by law, be set according to "fair and reasonable market value."
