What an exciting night! And one for which we have waited a long time! Tonight the City Commission stood up for the City and the Community by voting down The Wave Streetcar and taking the first step towards creating a vital and successful public transportation system. Many thanks to Mayor Dean Trantalis and Commissioners Steve Glassman and Ben Sorensen for listening to the many people who spoke on this issue and making the right decision for Fort Lauderdale and the future of public transportation. The vote in favor of the resolution to pull out of The Wave Streetcar was 3-2. And this time the three votes were in favor of the residents of Fort Lauderdale! What did the resolution say? ​
