It is well known and accepted that Steve Glassman, candidate for City Commission, has valiantly stood up AGAINST the over-development of the Barrier Island. Yet his opponent, Tim Smith, is disingenuously attempting to negatively portray Glassman as pro-development which is totally absurd and untrue! It would be nice if Tim Smith would stop trying to make this a one-issue, non-issue race and cease misleading the voters by distorting Steve Glassman’s position on past development on the Barrier Island. We would rather hear from ALL the candidates what REAL ACTION they are going to take to STOP THE BAHIA MAR FIASCO. We want to know how they plan to REVERSE the disastrous decision of the Seiler, Roberts, McKenzie POLITICAL MACHINE and their CRONY Miami Developers who are pulling their strings. Steve Glassman and Dean Trantalis have proven they have and will stand up to the self-interests of powerful Miami Developers. The Bahia Mar Fiasco can be stopped and it can be reversed by a new administration and/or by legal means such an an Injunction to stop the irreparable harm that will be created if this development is allowed to take place.
