I'm signing because I want to preserve Bahia Mar as public land, not a massive apartment complex that will benefit developers from Miami! Horrible idea, was horrible last year and worse this year ! This is valuable public land and it should not be given away to developers!! This is a really bad idea! Where will we put the Boat Show? Terrible over development of public land Brucie stated the reasoning perfectly. Public lands are just that...PUBLIC, belonging to us, the Citizens a.k.a. Public. No More development on this property. It is already at risk from inundation and hurricanes, and the land that is left needs to remain untouched. Public lands should be about the public and no private living should be permitted other than on yachts. I'd like to see this as park lands used for all those events which are on the beach and should be in the Bahia Mar parking lot. Also, this is a fragile peice of land and should not be built on at all but if you must, have a restaurant, marine facilities and the small food store. Special interests seem to have taken over any consideration of the will of the People. This City should be ashamed of itself and its corruptive behavior. Any appointed official that signed on for the continuance of this disastrous project should be summarily dismissed....NOW!
