As a proud nation, we have fought side by side with the United States during the 2nd World War, answered their call in 2001 to avenge the victims of 9/11 and even supported America in its unpopular war in Iraq. Hundreds of British lives have been sacrificed to support their interests, but today, we find ourselves faced with an administration that has continually shown disrespect and disregard for our country and its sacrifices. This United States administration has displayed unsettling behaviors such as cozying up to authoritarian regimes, abandoning their responsibility to the Ukrainian people, threatening our allies with imperialist aggression, inciting a global trade war, and most alarmingly, violating their own constitution. The harm they have inflicted on our long-standing relationship has proved that any deal with this administration would a stain on our nation.

We urge the UK government to stand up for our national honour, sovereignty, and alliances with other nations by rejecting any trade deal with the Trump administration until they change their behaviour. We implore our national representatives to focus on fortifying our ties with reliable partners such as the European Union and Canada, rather than entering into deals that compromise our values. By doing so, we strengthen not only our position on the global stage but remind our friends across the pond that respect, honour, and trust are the essentials of a beneficial alliance. 

We must stand together in the face of such imperialistic behavior, demonstrating our resilience and commitment to international cooperation and mutual respect. It is time to stand up to the current U.S administration and say: enough is enough, we will not tolerate this dishonourable treatment!
