I am writing this petition out of personal frustration and the inconvenience many in our community experience due to the lack of a direct bus connection from March to Peterborough. For a journey of just 15 miles, being forced to change buses is stressful and unreliable.

The entire commute currently hinges on a "handshake" at Whittlesey. A delay of merely five minutes from March can lead to being stranded for an hour. This issue is even more serious at night; if the service from Peterborough is late, passengers are left stranded in Whittlesey with no way to get home to March, Coates, or Eastrea.

The solution is simple: Extend the existing X32 service directly into Peterborough.

Reestablishing a direct route is a necessity. By extending the X32, we provide true reliability and eliminate "connection anxiety." This adjustment would remove the wasted 15–20 minutes spent waiting at Whittlesey and make the bus a viable alternative to the car once again.

The success of direct routes is a proven concept. The X31 model (Ramsey to Peterborough) has clearly demonstrated that direct connections boost ridership. Residents in March, Coates, and Eastrea deserve that same level of service.

A direct X32 would be an investment in our community’s well-being and local economy. I implore Mayor Paul Bristow and the CPCA to extend the X32 and give us a transport system that actually works for the people.
