Reintegrate Long-Standing Community Member in Zanesville

Reintegrate Long-Standing Community Member in Zanesville
The Issue
Over two decades ago, I was entangled in felony charges that left a mark on my record, dramatically changing the course of my life. I was told to serve my time, learn from my mistakes, and reintegrate into society as a better person. These words guided my actions during and after serving my sentence. Upon returning to Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio, I have dedicated myself to living as an upstanding citizen.
I have established my own business, provided employment opportunities for others, and become an active community volunteer. From mentoring and coaching the youth in our area to caring for my mother, I have tirelessly worked to demonstrate my reformation and commitment to the community. I regularly volunteer at local events and contribute my time to the Zanesville Civic League Community Center.
Despite my efforts and achievements, the stigma from my past continues to hinder my dreams of becoming a coach - a role in which I could further influence and inspire the younger generation in a positive way.
This petition seeks to publicize and address the barriers still faced by felons who, despite having served their sentences and shown consistent reform, are unjustly held back because of their past. Signing this petition will not only help empower my personal journey but will also stand as a beacon of hope and reform for many others in similar positions.
Help me make a difference in Zanesville by reinforcing the importance of second chances and reducing the barriers for reformed individuals to fully participate and contribute to society. Your signature can underscore the belief in transformation and the strength of community support, allowing not just me, but countless others, to pursue our dreams and continue adding value to society.
Sign this petition to support reintegration and equal opportunities for all community members, regardless of past mistakes. Together, we can encourage a more inclusive and forward-looking Zanesville.
