The 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲'𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗷𝗮𝗵𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗻 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗿𝗮𝗻 (𝗣𝗠𝗢𝗜/𝗠𝗘𝗞), once listed as a 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, poses a significant threat to both domestic and international peace. This group, also known by its affiliated political coalition, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), has a bloody history marked by numerous attacks, including the 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘀 during the 1970s in Iran. Despite its attempts to rebrand as a legitimate political and social movement, its dark past cannot be ignored.

In the brutal legacy of the regime of Saddam Hussein, the 𝗣𝗠𝗢𝗜/𝗠𝗘𝗞 found a willing partner, further proving its lack of credibility as a proponent of the Iranian people's liberation. It is widely recognized that this group leveraged its operations in 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗮𝗺 to forward its motives, rather than truly advocating for the Iranian public. This betrayal of national interests should disqualify the PMOI/MEK from being seen or accepted as a viable alternative to Iran's current clerical regime.

Despite their claims of opposing the current Iranian government, the 𝗣𝗠𝗢𝗜/𝗠𝗘𝗞'𝘀 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 and opportunistic alliances argues they should be reinstated as a terrorist organization, especially in light of recent threats they continue to pose. Their previous and well-documented acts of terror stand as an enduring reminder of their potential danger.

The international community, particularly the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀, 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 to reassess the current standing of the PMOI/MEK and consider 𝗿𝗲-𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. This action would send a clear message that their past crimes will not be forgotten and that groups with such a history of violence have no place in diplomacy or international politics.
