Reinstate Unjustly Terminated Employee Bullying at River Country Coop

The Issue

My story began on July 1, 2024, and spiraled into an arduous ordeal of sustained harassment in the following months at River Country Co-op. I was wrongfully terminated on October 20, 2024, after raising concerns about the rampant bullying I endured from the assistant manager and her two friends working at the same premises. Despite my attempts at seeking intervention from the store manager as early as July's end, the bullying persisted unabated.

My claims are far from baseless accusations. I was consistently belittled and deprived of performing my duties. Every effort I made to integrate into the workspace and perform tasks efficiently were met with resentment and open hostility. This treatment extended to the point where I was reprimanded for assisting a colleague count their drawer and get change, even though the decision to leave the drawer open with money wasn't mine.

Such disheartening experiences had a profound impact on my well-being, and attribute to the unjust termination that has left a deep scar. Bullying, especially in the workplace, is a serious issue. According to the Workplace Bullying Institute, 19% of Americans have suffered abusive conduct at work, while another 19% have witnessed it. This accumulating pressure doesn't just erode an individual's self-esteem but also hampers productivity and overall work quality. That's precisely what I experienced at River Country Co-op.

This petition seeks to hold River Country Co-op accountable for unfettered bullying within its ranks, by calling for the immediate dismissal of the assistant manager and her two friends perpetuating this behavior at the River street station . Ideal justice won't be served until I am reinstated with necessary compensation reflecting the emotional hardship I had to endure. We urge you to lend your support in restoring justice, dealing a blow to workplace bullying, and fostering a safer, more welcoming work environment at River Country Co-op. Please sign this petition.
