Every Tuesday, I would wake up to a lump sum of around £100 in my account. This was not just money; it was my entitlement to workers/holiday pay, a crucial part of my income that helped me manage my expenses and live decently. However, this has changed recently with Uber shifting the holiday pay entitlement from being paid out as a lump sum to being distributed after every trip.

This change significantly affects the financial stability of drivers like me who rely on this weekly lump sum. It's important to note that on a weekly basis, we receive 12.07% of our applicable earnings (after expenses) as holiday pay. The shift in policy disrupts our financial planning and adds unnecessary stress.

Uber is known for its innovative approach and commitment towards improving the working conditions for its drivers. We believe that reverting back to the previous method of paying out holiday pay would be a step in the right direction towards ensuring financial stability for all Uber drivers.
