On 6/6/24, Mr. Peña was involuntarily transferred due to staffing cuts. This action is unjust for several reasons; Other teachers will be hired.  Mr. Peña has an excellent professional record, and he has a good rapport with both the school and community.

Mr. Peña's dedication to the Guillen Middle School Choir and Guitar programs has enriched countless students' lives through music education. His transfer would not only disrupt these thriving programs but also negatively impact student morale and community engagement.

We urge the El Paso Independent School District to reconsider this decision and reinstate Mr. Peña along with the Choir and Guitar programs at Guillen Middle School.
