Mrs. O'Grady, our beloved dance teacher, filled our days with rhythm and creativity. Her presence in this school wasn't just about teaching us dance but to inspire every student to express themselves passionately and creatively. We want more than just a dance cap after school. We want to go to the dance room after algebra or English to express our creativity. Being in her class was the chance to forget about the test you failed, or not making a sports team; it was the chance to let go of everything and immerse yourself with dance. You became someone else in that dance room, not just the "shy kid in the halls" or the "kid who talks to loud"; you became your full self. You see, Mrs.O'Grady didn't just teach us how to move our body; she taught us pure perseverance and hard work. Even through the roughest times. So let's apply perseverance and hard work right now, by salvaging her job as our dance teacher and restoring the dance program, that she worked so hard to build.

The loss of dance at Macduffie doesn't just mean no more dance classes or shows. It means the loss of expressing ourselves with creative freedom.
