The classic vehicle procession at the Ballymoney Spring Fair, an event close to my heart and that of many others, has tragically been excluded. The procession wasn't merely a show of cars, Lorries,  Tractors; it was a full-throated celebration of our town's rich history and robust community spirit. The expulsion of this much-loved tradition has carved a significant void in the charm and appeal of the fair.

It has left enthusiasts and members of the community disappointed, as the classic vehicle segment of the fair was an essential platform not just for car lovers, but also for people to connect and engage in shared local history. Classic cars are incredible pieces of moving history, and their display at the fair was a testament to engineering, design, and human achievement. Events like these, rooted in tradition, add to a town's cultural identity, provoking collective pride and unity.



In light of these reasons, we urge the Ballymoney Spring Fair organizers to reconsider their decision. Allowing the classic vehicle procession to resume in 2025 will maintain our town's invaluable tradition and foster community engagement. It's time the fair returned to being the complete, vibrant experience that we have all come to love and anticipate.
