As an Oklahoma State University student, the daily commute from Oklahoma City to the Stillwater campus is not just inconvenient—it's distressing. Despite being more affordably housed in OKC, what I save on rent perishes to the exorbitant cost of daily travel. The inflexible pocket pinch furthers my anxiety related to already stress-inducing drives. Furthermore, being a full-time student has sliced my income in half, thus exacerbating the strain.

This narrative is by no means singular. Amid a housing crisis in Stillwater and surging university admissions, reinstating The Big Orange Bus (B.O.B) route from OKC to the University's Stillwater campus is a practical resolution. This not only paints an easier picture for students commuting but also alleviates financial burden. In addition, it mitigates the troubling ordeal of 40+ minute searches for a scant parking spot on campus—a universal woe.

Reviving the B.O.B route is an effectual response, ensuring that numerous students can attend classes without gaping holes in their pockets or unnecessary panic attacks. It's high time that Oklahoma's decision-makers revive this necessary service. We urge these decision-makers to hear our plight and take swift action.
