Just as I have been suspecting, Paramount appears to be on an all out mission to veer revenue to their Streaming business empire, while dismantling CBS created Scripted Television and replacing it with Paramount based Streaming Entertainment.
I have suspected that Paramount is profiting from the sharing of their customer viewing habits, and this class action lawsuit appears to expose the practice.
Paramount MUST be kept separate from CBS before CBS's scripted productions are forced to fit into the Paramount Streaming scheme which appears to focus more on instant profit making at the expense of scripted programming that has long term profitability.
I have seen Paramount advertisements on multiple channels, including Fox Network! Where is all this ad money coming from? CBS owns TV Guide Digital and it appears Paramount has their tentacles into the Conventional TV Guide as well, as evidenced by the linear TV Guides use of MP7 ratings in their last issue of 2024. TV Guides use of MP7 streaming ratings method dramatically puffs up CBS's overall ratings when compared to the other Networks.
If a Television Series like So Help Me Todd can be tossed away so casually, to the point where 8 of the final 10 episodes from the second season were only broadcast once, then Paramount's role in the cancellation of 5 popular Television Series must be investigated.
