I decided a while ago to leave this petition live, despite the fact that reinstating Sangita was not on the cards.

The result has been that an eye watering 40,000 signatures have been collected.

This was started as my own protest against how poorly a journalist I admire has been treated.

I'm happy to say that I've met Sangita recently, and heard first hand from her how supportive she found the petition during a difficult time for her.
