As a student athlete in Glendale community college, CA, I have been personally affected by the absence of our coaching staff for the past six months. This is due to an ongoing investigation involving students who haven't attended our school in years and continue to cause issues in Glendale community college. The impact on my training has been significant - I've had to redshirt when I should be actively participating and improving my skills. My fellow athletes and I have not had the proper coaching in half a year because of this situation.

Our track team feels neglected as administration -ESPECIALLY HR Brittany Grice and SUPERINTENDENT Ryan Cornner- who continues to push us aside rather than addressing the issue effectively. Our season starts this week, yet we are still without our coaches' guidance and support.

The lack of action from the administration is not only affecting our athletic performance but also impacting our overall well-being as students. According to American Psychological Association, participation in sports can help improve physical fitness, reduce stress, promote greater self-discipline and social skills among students. Without proper coaching staff present, these benefits along with sports accomplishments and PR’s are being hindered.

We call upon the school administration to prioritize resolving this issue promptly so that we can return to normalcy with our coaches back at their rightful place guiding us through training sessions. We urge them to consider how their actions affect us as student athletes, both physically and emotionally, and take immediate steps towards rectifying this situation.
