The Issue
This petition is to support the reinstatement of a dedicated school director who was wrongfully suspended from her position.
During her 13 months as director, she led with integrity, consistency, and genuine care. Every child was treated with the same love and attention she would give her own. She communicated openly and respectfully with parents—always with the understanding of what it feels like to entrust your child to a school each day. She thoughtfully designed a lunch program using ingredients she would confidently feed her own child, prioritizing health, safety, and children’s well-being.
She deeply loves her job, her staff, and most importantly, the children she serves every day. The children know her, trust her, and feel safe with her. Her leadership created a nurturing, stable environment where children could thrive.
It is important to clearly state that she did not step away from her position by choice. Despite statements being made to parents suggesting that she “stepped down,” this is not true. Her removal from her role was not voluntary and not within her control. Misrepresenting the circumstances of her suspension undermines transparency and the trust parents place in school leadership.
While Sheela is the owner of the school, a buyout option was formally offered to allow her to step away from the business—ensuring continuity for the children and preserving the loving, stable environment that has been built over the past 13 months under this director’s leadership.
This petition is a call to speak up—for honesty, for the children, and for a leader who shows up for them every single day with love and dedication. What is within our control is standing together and advocating for the return of a director who the children love and depend on.
