On August 5, students and staff at our beloved institution in Cerritos, CA received shocking news: Mr. Velez, the cherished and longstanding ASB Director of Gahr High School, had been unexpectedly removed from his position and reassigned as an English teacher. This decision was made without his prior knowledge and merely a week before the school year was set to start. The abrupt nature of this change leaves our students and various school programs struggling to adapt in such short notice.

Mr. Velez has been an integral part of our school's success, fostering a sense of community and spirit that is indispensable to our student body.
