As concerned citizens of Mountain Grove, Missouri 65711, we urge you to reinstate Lt David Todd back on the fire department. This petition is personal to me and many others in our community because Lt David Todd has dedicated over 20 years of his life serving and protecting our town and surrounding towns. It is unjust that he was forced to resign due to a Facebook post welcoming our new fire chief.

Lt David Todd has been a valuable asset to the Mountain Grove Fire Department, consistently demonstrating his commitment and expertise in firefighting. His experience and knowledge have played a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our community for decades. Removing him from the department not only undermines his years of service but also jeopardizes the effectiveness and efficiency of our fire response team.

The incident leading to Lt David Todd's resignation was a result of a Facebook post welcoming the new fire chief. However, it is important to note that this post did not contain any offensive or inappropriate content; it was merely a welcoming of the new fire chief. 

We firmly believe that as citizens, we have the right to express ourselves freely within reasonable boundaries without facing consequences.
We want Lt David Todd Back

By reinstating Lt David Todd back on the Mountain Grove Fire Department, we send a message that freedom of expression should be respected. Our voices need to be heard.
