Reinstate Hollie Chadwick as the Chief of Henderson's Police Department

Reinstate Hollie Chadwick as the Chief of Henderson's Police Department
The Issue
Chief Hollie Chadwick assumed the leadership role within the Henderson Police Department amidst a wave of turbulence left by her predecessors.
She was the beacon of integrity, wisdom, and strength that the department so desperately needed, even in the face of having to make tough, unpopular decisions.
Chief Chadwick's qualifications and resume' are more than impressive, and include but are not limited to:
A hometown star athlete at UNLV.
She earned 2 Bachelor of Science Degrees, a Master of Science Degree, a Doctorate in Public Service Leadership
Graduated from the prestigious National FBI Academy, Class 280..
Graduate of Harvard's Kennedy Senior Executives in State and Local Government
Currently in Naval Post Graduate Executive Leadership Program (Will graduate 2/27/2025)
Was accepted to the FBI's National Executive Institute
Joined the Henderson Police Department 23 years ago.
Worked her way up through the ranks from Officer, Sargeant, Lieutenant, Captain, Deputy Chief, to Chief - and was overwhelming chosen by over ninety percent of the rank and file votes on a union poll asking who they wanted for their leader.
The first female Sargeant of the Problem Solving Team.
The first female Lieutenant of the SWAT Team.
The first female Commander of a SWAT Team in Nevada.
She has served as a Crisis Negotiator, in the Problem-Solving Unit,
and on the DEA task Force.
Graduated from the prestigious National FBI Academy, Class 280.
A member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police Committee on Homeland Security.
Despite all of the above, and the strong support and positive evaluations she received from the previous city managers that she worked for, Hollie Chadwick is being unfairly dismissed by the newly appointed City Manager, who unfortunately lacks any prior experience managing a law enforcement agency, and may have personal reasons for retaliation against the Chief.
We believe in Chief Chadwick's potential and acknowledge her irreplaceable contributions to the department.
Since her ascension to Chief, crime rates have reportedly dropped by an impressive 12% (source: Henderson Police Department Crime Statistics). And that is no small feat considering the complex challenges the department was facing.
This petition is not just about reinstating an exceptional leader, but about maintaining the stability, integrity, and strong leadership that our police department so desperately needs, especially with the upcoming Police union contract negotiations, and the City Mayor already has warned there is no money for expected salary increases.
We urge everyone who cares about justice, effective leadership, and the welfare of our community to sign this petition and support the reinstatement of Hollie Chadwick as the Chief of the Henderson Police Department.
Please consider joining us at 4:00pm on Tuesday March 4th for the City Council meeting at Henderson City Hall to support Chief Chadwick being reinstated. 240 Water Street Henderson NV 89015
