The Issue

As a resident of Orem, UT, I am deeply concerned about the environmental impact of traditional gasoline vehicles. With the rise in popularity of electric vehicles, it is clear that we need to prioritize cleaner and more environmentally friendly fuel options for our cars. One such option is E85 fuel.

E85 fuel is a blend of 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. It burns cleaner than regular gasoline and reduces greenhouse gas emissions by up to 40%. Despite these benefits, many gas stations in Utah have stopped offering this eco-friendly alternative.

This not only limits consumer choice but also hinders our progress towards reducing carbon emissions in the transportation sector - which accounts for nearly 30% of all U.S greenhouse gas emissions according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

By reinstating E85 at our local gas stations, we can provide Utah residents with an immediate solution to reduce their carbon footprint while waiting for electric vehicle technology to become more accessible.

I urge local government officials and business owners across Utah to take action on this issue. Please sign this petition if you support bringing back E85 fuel at gas stations across our beautiful state.
