Reinstate Dog Waste Bins in David W Coultas Dog Park

Reinstate Dog Waste Bins in David W Coultas Dog Park
The issue
I am a regular visitor of the David W Coultas dog park, an area dedicated to our canine companions. This park has always been a place of peace, joy, and cleanliness. Recently, however, due to the removal of dog waste bins, the park has become noticeably dirtier and untidier than before.
The absence of these bins forces dog owners to either carry the waste with them potentially for hours or, worse, leave it behind. Both of these options pose significant health risks. Dog faeces can lead to transmission of parasites and diseases not only to other dogs but also to humans, especially children (source: US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). And it's not just a health issue. A cleaner park ensures more enjoyable moments for us and for our four-legged friends.
The Ipswich City Council needs to recognize the essential role these bins play in maintaining the cleanliness, health, and overall well-being of everyone who uses the park. For the sake of the park's regular visitors like myself, the wider community, and our furry friends, I implore the Ipswich City Council: return the dog waste bins to David W Coultas dog park.
