Phase 3 of Subsidised bus network review.

This phase summarises the next steps in relation to the review of Falkirk Council's subsidised bus network.

The first next step will be to determine a preferred option for the subsidised bus network based on the subsidised bus network review and the findings from the engagement and consultation. Following this, a committee report will be prepared outlining the preferred option, which will be scrutinised at Falkirk Council's Executive Committee in December 2026. The paper will include the findings from the engagement and consultation, as well as an Equality and Poverty Impact Assessment. There will also be internal consultation on the contents of the paper leading up to Executive.

Once the project is presented at Executive Committee, Elected Members will be asked to agree a way forward, which will allow Falkirk Council to shape the subsidised bus network ahead of the procurement of services next Spring/Summer.
