Reinstate Craft Display at 25 Maria Street, Penetanguishene

The Issue

I have lived on Harriet street since my childhood, and 25 Maria street was a cornerstone of my upbringing. Even now, as an adult residing in Penetanguishene, I choose to drive down Maria Street to witness the captivating artwork of Dragonfly Unlimited. The township's decision to withdraw their letter permitting this display has not only removed a source of joy for many but also hindered the support for local charities that benefited from the donated furniture and signs.

The craftwork displayed at 25 Maria Street added vibrancy to our community. It was particularly uplifting during challenging times such as the pandemic when we all needed a spark of color and creativity in our lives. This display is not just about art; it's about community spirit, charity work, and preserving local culture.

We urge Penetanguishene township to reconsider their decision and allow Dragonfly Unlimited to continue displaying their craftwork on their front lawn. Let us keep this beacon of creativity alive for current residents and future generations who will grow up here just like I did.

Please sign this petition if you believe in supporting local artists while enhancing our community's aesthetic appeal and charitable activities.
