Last season, the Homewood Bulldogz 12U team made history, achieving an incredible milestone by going undefeated under the dedicated guidance of Coach Telly. This momentous achievement was not only a reflection of their hard work and dedication but also of the exceptional leadership provided by their coach. For many players, this might be a once-in-a-lifetime accomplishment, a testament to the strong bond and team spirit nurtured over the season.

However, with the transition to a new league, the team, now known as the 13U squad, is at risk of losing this crucial continuity and leadership. It is imperative to recognize how pivotal Coach Telly's role has been. Removing him from the team undermines the dedication of the players and ignores the wishes of both players and parents who have consistently advocated for his return. Our young athletes deserve to have a voice in shaping their sports journey, and their unanimous support for Coach Telly must be respected.

Allowing Coach Telly to continue leading these players is not only the wish of the community; it ensures the players have a fair chance to replicate or even surpass their previous achievements. The continuity in coaching would provide a stable environment necessary for their growth and development both on and off the field.

We urge the organization and league to reconsider their decision and reinstate Coach Telly to the Homewood Bulldogz 13U team, thus honoring the wishes of all involved and providing the children with the leadership they richly deserve.
