We call on the Superintendent, Athletic Director, and the Board of Education to reverse the unjust and seemingly politically motivated decision to remove Coach Michael Ippolito as the head girls' track coach. This action undermines the values of fairness, student success, and community integrity. Most importantly, firing Coach Ippolito is NOT in the best interest of our children.

Coach Michael Ippolito has been an outstanding leader, mentor, and educator within our school community. Under his guidance, our track and field program has flourished—producing multiple state titles, school records, and individual athletic achievements that have brought pride to our students, families, and the district. He has rightfully earned the title of Coach of the Year and has consistently received outstanding evaluations from the  Athletic Director.

How was Coach Ippolito rewarded for this resounding success?? The Board of Education has terminated his coaching contract!

Can you imagine what would have happened if the NVD football team had won 3 consecutive state group titles? The head coach would have been given a key to the city!

Amazingly, our Board of Education decided to not renew one of the most successful athletic coaches at our school!

Despite his success and dedication, Coach Ippolito is now being replaced without any explanation whatsoever.  This decision lacks transparency, ignores performance-based merit, and threatens the integrity of our athletic program. Barring an explanation from the Board of Education, the only possible explanation is some sort of political basis.

Parents, athletes, alumni, and community members deserve answers—and more importantly, Coach Ippolito deserves to be treated fairly. Our students deserve coaches who are selected based on skill, leadership, and character—not political agendas.

We, the undersigned, demand:

-The immediate reinstatement of Coach Ippolito.
-Full transparency regarding the decision-making process.
-Accountability from those involved in this unethical action.

Let’s send a clear message: our children’s education and opportunities are not political pawns. We stand with Coach Ippolito and call for what is right.
