Our senior football season is in jeopardy, and the reason? The unjust suspension of our dedicated head coach and defensive coordinator, Coach Anthony Jackson. For us, the 16 senior players on the team, it is much more than just a few missed games. It’s about the loss of an opportunity to achieve our full potential during our final high school football season. We stand together, fighting for our dreams to come true and for playoffs that seem to be slipping from our grasp.

Coach Jackson has been an exceptional mentor and leader for us. His strategies and deep understanding of the game have propelled our team to new heights. Under his guidance, each one of us has developed not only as a player on the field but also as individuals off the field. His influence is invaluable, and his absence diminishes our chance of success.

Suspending Coach Jackson for four critical games in the season not only affects our morale but also disrupts the cohesive dynamics that he has painstakingly established in our team. This decision could potentially sabotage our playoff dreams that we, as a team, have worked tirelessly towards.

We urge the Irvington school administration to reconsider this decision. Coach Jackson deserves to be on the sidelines, leading us to victory and motivating us as he always has. Reinstate Coach Jackson and let us, the team, fight for our rightful place in the playoffs under the guidance of our head coach.
