Rolley Lake, a cherished recreational spot in Mission, BC, Canada has seen a shift in its camping reservation system. Previously, a portion of the campsites were available on a first come, first serve basis year round. This allowed for spontaneous trips and provided opportunities for those unable to book months in advance. However, this system has been changed and now all campsites require pre-booking. 

This change has significantly impacted local campers' ability to enjoy this public space. The current booking-only system favors those who can plan far ahead and excludes many locals from enjoying their own natural backyard.

We believe that reinstating the 50% first come, first serve policy year round will restore fair access to this beloved local resource. It will provide equal opportunity for everyone to enjoy camping at Rolley Lake during the summer season.
