Max Bowden has played Ben Mitchell since 2019. He has proven to have touched the lives of many fans from Eastenders. He has portrayed his character brilliantly and accurately. He played his character as if it was his story to tell. He has acted out tough and very heartfelt storylines such as bulimia, male rape and marriage struggles in the LGBTQ community. 

As I am aware it has deeply saddened that his contract was not renewed for the wrong reasons as bosses say “There has been a lot of noise around him for a bit too long.” Surrounding his personal life. It was to be that his off screening partying and love life was effecting his role, which personally I do not believe this was true. If this was true this news wouldn’t feel so deep and heartbreaking to us all. Am I wrong? 

Max Bowden as Ben Mitchell has really touched my life and many others. His bulimia storyline has connected with the viewers who have also suffered with this disorder it made us feel that we shouldn’t be ashamed of the struggles we encountered and allowed us to speak out and receive help. Not only that, his other storylines he’s played have been so passionate and deep. He brought the one best onscreen gay couple to life which we all know as Ballum.

I wanted to make this petition because I think that he played the best Ben Mitchell throughout Eastenders and best character overall. And this breaks my heart to think he could be already be replaced by someone else. It was never be the same. No one will ever meet his standards. So please. Please help me bring him back home where he belongs. Now is the time to act!!!
