The desperation in these posts is an all too common feeling. At this point, my reputation that I’ve built over decades of hard work seems to no longer exist.
At this point, the people closest to me don’t want to talk to me as this is my fault to them and I’m not trying hard enough. In reality, I’ve applied for more than 3,000 jobs at over 350 companies (not including customer service, retail roles) and wake up feeling like I have no purpose.
knowing that so many people feel the same feeling of despair, failure, and disappointment all while being in a constant panic attack is upsetting.

I'm always so frustrated by comments like this because they seem so incredulous and patronizing. People act like as if, if you don't have a job, then you shouldn't even exist. Nope, we're still human and living our lives like the lucky ones without financial hardship.
Why do you think the homeless population in the US is rising by a record percent?
We are in a cost-of-living crisis.”
