I am a resident of a densely populated area, where the tranquility of our community is being disrupted by the noise from hot tubs situated in small gardens and close to neighbours' properties. This issue is personal to me, as it affects my daily life and that of many others in similar situations.

The problem lies not just with the noise produced by these hot tubs but also their placement. In small gardens, the sound reverberates off walls and fences, amplifying it and causing even more disturbance. The World Health Organization states that noise pollution can lead to stress-related illnesses, poor concentration, productivity loss, and communication difficulties (WHO).

Therefore, I propose that regulations be put into place for controlling hot tub noise levels in densely populated residential areas. These regulations should include restrictions on where hot tubs can be placed within a property's boundaries to minimise disturbance for neighbouring residents.
